Event Details

The Northern Illinois Postal Customer Council (NIPCC) is offering another exciting educational
event to bring mailers up-to-date on the latest postal changes. This event will cover two of the
latest topics impacting mailers - new standards for letter-size booklet mailings and the new Network
Distribution Center system.

Letter-Size Booklet Requirements

This session will review the changes to letter-size booklets and tabbing requirements for machinable
and automation mail. Specific mailpiece design characteristics will be reviewed to ensure mailers
have current, accurate information for designing mail to meet USPS automation requirements for
maximum postage discounts.

Network Distribution Centers

This session will inform mailers about the USPS process of re-engineering the Bulk Mail Center
network to transform it into a new system of Network Distribution Centers (NDCs). Discover how
the new three-tier network will consolidate the process of originating mail into fewer sites to
achieve greater operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs while expanding the surface
transportation reach for more products.

Join the Gold-Award winning NIPCC for this educational opportunity that will increase your mailing knowledge and help grow your business through mail efficiences.

The NIPCC is organized at the local community level to:

Establish regular communication between postal customers and local postal managers.

Provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas and suggestions.

Ensure that postal customers are aware of the latest in postal services and rates.

Create a better understanding of the Postal Service through business meetings, mailer clinics, mailing seminars, tours of postal facilities and visits to other customers' plants.

Provide information so that customers can make the most effective and efficient use of postal services and products.

The Postal Customer Councils help keep customers appraised of changes in service, make suggestions or improvements to their local Postal carriers, and give customers a role in the Postal decision-making process.
